Lebanon Emergency Response

This campaign provided emergency relief and psychosocial support to refugees and other vulnerable people affected by the Israeli bombings in Lebanon.

Project Overview

Location

Lebanon

Duration

3 days (October 2024)

How will this change lives?

Key focus areas:

Food distribution, hygiene, shelter, psychosocial support for children.

What we did:

On the first day, we distributed 30 food packs, kitchen sets, blankets, mattresses, and two beds, and served 530 hot meals to families. We organised recreational activities and provided haircuts for children to help them regain a sense of normalcy in the chaos.

On the second day, we provided 55 blankets, hygiene kits, and psychosocial activities for children. We also supported a vulnerable family by supplying them with a washing machine, fridge, blankets, mattresses, pillows, and essential medication for two family members.

On the third day, we distributed 62 hygiene kits, 620 litres of water, pillows, and 65 family hot meals. We also provided 16 kits of baby formula and nappies, along with additional blankets. Meanwhile, sports activities and haircuts for children continued, and psychosocial support was offered to help them cope with the trauma.

Why is this important?

We launched this appeal to meet the urgent needs of refugees and other vulnerable groups in Lebanon, who are suffering due to the Israeli bombings. The crisis has worsened the already-fragile conditions for these families. By providing food, hygiene supplies, shelter, and emotional support, we aim to alleviate some of their immediate hardships and give them a sense of safety and dignity.

Future plans

What’s next: We will continue our emergency response, prioritising both immediate relief and long-term recovery. We’ll focus on supporting vulnerable families and children, while also working toward sustainable solutions that foster resilience and stability in the affected communities.

How you can help: Your support is essential for our relief efforts. We need your donations to continue providing critical supplies and services to families in need, ensuring that they receive the care and resources to survive this difficult time.
