Bungee Jump with Salam

Are you ready to leap into the sky and plummet towards the ground? We’re taking the leap to raise lifesaving funds for the flood victims in Libya.

In September, floodwaters inundated at least a quarter of the city of Derna, killing thousands and displacing more than 40,000 people. Homes destroyed and families torn apart, these people need our help more than anyone.

That’s why in October, Team Salam will be bungee jumping with the pros in Battersea Park, London. Could you join us?

Your bravery will raise money to send essential supplies to Libya, where our team is right in the middle of the disaster. Get ready to join us on Saturday 14th October – we’ll be at the top of the 160ft crane…

Who can join this challenge?

Anyone who’s brave enough! There are just a few provisos for this one.

You should be over 14 years old, and not pregnant. There’s a maximum weight of 120kg. You won’t need to have any experience, as you’ll be supported by the friendly and professional team at UKBungee. Some people with certain health conditions will be asked to sign a waiver before jumping (see below for all the details).

Team Salam organises challenges all year. But none as thrilling as this one! Join us on this challenge which will seriously push us out of our comfort zones.

We’re doing it for two reasons. Firstly because we believe that we gain a new perspective and more mental resilience every time we accept one of these challenges. And secondly, because our hearts are full of love for the people in Libya who have been affected by this natural disaster. Can you help us to provide supplies, hygiene kits, and hope? All it takes is just one jump…

You can NOT jump if you are:

• Under 14 years old
• Pregnant

If any of the following apply, you must seek professional medical advice before jumping and sign a non-standard waiver:

• Aged 50 years or above
• High blood pressure
• Heart condition
• Suffer from dizziness or epilepsy
• Damage to neck, back, spinal column, legs or eyes
• Asthma
• Medication – if you are taking any form of prescribed medication, please inform us of how this may affect you

The following points apply to ALL jumpers:

• Jumpers aged 14 and 15 years old require a parent or guardian to be present, sign permission and will be required to complete a non-standard waiver
• Glasses and hard contact lenses cannot be worn
• If wearing boots/high-top or slip-on shoes, please be prepared to remove them
• Maximum weight limit for a solo jumper is 120kg (18.9 stone)
• Waist harnesses fit waist size of 40cm (15.7 inches) to 125cm (49.2 inches)
